Baby-girls in India too often are in danger of being deprived of their basic rights of being born and staying alive.

Girls are often unwanted and their birth is regarded as a catastrophe for their family.
In India millions of children have unequal chances to survive and develop their abilities.

Since it's independence India has made remarkable improvements in many respects, but the country still faces great challenges.
